Tracking the Tropics: Maria To Miss United States, Nate Dissipates


As of 10PM EST Sunday night, Tropical Storm Maria was the lone tropical system active in the Atlantic. 

As of 11PM EST, the National Hurricane has Maria with top winds of 60 miles per hour, moving West-Northwest at 10 miles per hour. You can see her fairly disorganized satellite picture below.

Maria is not expected to impact weather in the United States. She will likely take a turn to the North early enough to remain an offshore storm. You can see Maria's latest track below:

What once was Tropical Storm Nate has now dissipated into an extra-tropical low. You can see the remnants of Nate below:

Finally, the Eastern Pacific waters remain quiet with no tropical activity at this time.
